About Tom Child

I started Tom Child Garden Landscapes back in 1995, combining my love of gardening with a background in building and construction. Having originally trained and worked in my father's building business, I soon discovered that creating beautiful outdoor spaces brought together everything I enjoyed.

More than 30 years later, I still get the same satisfaction from transforming a garden. Whether it's a simple pathway or a complete landscape transformation, I believe the smallest details make the biggest difference, and every project deserves the same care and attention.

I've worked alongside Tom for over 25 years, helping turn ideas and plans into beautiful, practical gardens. Over that time, we've tackled everything from modest garden improvements to large, complex landscaping projects.

For me, it's about understanding what the client really wants and making sure the finished garden works as well in everyday life as it looks in photographs. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a project come together and knowing we've created something the client will enjoy for years.
